#MGhomebase : First Impressions

In the past few days, I’ve gotten so many questions regarding my new flat. You’re all so very keen on seeing how I styled and decorated it, even though it’s not even nearly finished yet. However, you ask and I deliver – so, today I want to show you a little sneek peak into the new MGhomebase. If you’re super nosy, you can always have a look at the Hashtag on Instagram or follow my Insta-Stories, where I always show snippets of my life.

The Apartment

The new MGhomebase is a small 35 m2 apartment in a rather old building. The building itself is gorgeous from the outside, and so is the flat itself. It’s suited with beautiful high-quality flooring, white doors, and golden door handles. It’s amazingly well separated and gives me plenty of space to live comfortably, without it feeling too cramped. The high windows and huge window sills make it super airy and bright. My old flat was located right in the middle of the city and when we opened the windows, all we heard were buses and cars. Now, however, I can see trees, bushes, and hear the birds singing. Ahhh…

The first thing that moved into the new flat was, in fact, my beloved Nespresso machine from De’Longhi*. Because, duh, how do you expect me to live without my daily caffeine fix? It perfectly fits into the black and white kitchen and, together with some copper coffee accessories makes the kitchen one of my favorite places in the new MGhomebase.

As I’ve already mentioned, the flat isn’t finished yet. I know a new apartment will never really be finished and I’ll probably add bits and bobs every other month. At this point, I’m still on the lookout for a nice 2-seated couch and coffee table. Also, I need to add some rugs to the dressing area and am searching for beautiful lamps.

The bathroom was rather boring when I first entered it. The gorgeous green shower curtain from H&M home makes it look super bright and friendly, though. The prints I got from Desenio* and I think they make the whole flat more personal and fun. I’ll add a couple more in the following weeks, though, because I don’t think I have nearly enough at this point in time.

Is there anything you particularly want to see in my next interior posts? What do you think about this sneek peak of the new MGhomebase?
