Okay… I’ve been meaning to tell you about Marano Lagunare ever since I came back from Italy at the end of May. However, for some reason, the pictures mysteriously disappeared after loading them onto my MacBook. I searched and searched but they were nowhere to be found. And as expected, they re-appeared once I stopped looking. I wanted to show you these pictures anyway. So here I am, a good 2 months later.
If you’re following me on Instagram you’ll probably have already seen a couple of pictures from my Marano Lagunare trip. Also, the city worked just fine as a backdrop in this post. I think by now I’m annoying literally everyone with my #tbt pictures. But whatever.
Marano Lagunare is a teeny tiny fishing village in Norther Italy. When I say teeny tiny I mean it. Marano only has a population of about 2.000. These few people, however, are utterly friendly and the embodiment of joy. What I’m telling you today basically could be summed up in one sentence: “Marano Lagunare is one of the best-kept secrets in Italy“. While everyone’s always jetting off to Venice, Rome and Milan I thoroughly enjoy strolling through the streets of Marano, eating fresh seafood risotto and drinking local wine. Ain’t nothing wrong with that if you ask me.
So… here’s my visual travel diary from Marano Lagunare
Have you ever been to Marano Lagunare? And what do you think about the pictures? Would you go there?
