I’ve been quite MIA during the last few days, both on here and on Social media. But I’ve finally written my last exam for the semester today and can now finally breathe again. And Blog. That is why today I want to share a little life update with you guys, so you know what I’ve been up to lately.
June has been incredibly stressful
I know I’m saying this a lot. But honestly, June has seriously had me on the verge of a burnout. I’ve never felt so pressured and stressed out in my entire life. There’s university and my last exams, my bachelor thesis, three seminar papers to write, courses to attend, presentations to give and on top of that, work in order to pay my bills, blog, have a social life and a household to keep an eye on. I’ve managed to survive, however. And am now happy to have at least a bit of air to breath and time to spend on things I actually want to be doing.
Life has been tough lately. However, a couple of amazing things (and people) have happened during the course of the past few weeks and I cannot even begin to tell you how incredibly happy I am right now. In the midst of this horrible, stressful time I often found myself waking up with a smile because I am just so genuinely happy. Life sure IS good!
With that emotional rollercoaster going on in my life, Instagram has naturally fallen down on the list of not-so-important things. I really like my community there, though, and want to keep posting and having fun on the app. However, as a blogger it’s not JUST about fun for me – it also is my job. And when the app makes your job just so hard it’s no fun anymore. Lately, I cannot seem to grow my following or get any likes on my pictures and I wonder why that might be? Don’t you guys like the direction I am taking my feed or are you just not on Instagram as much as you used to be? If you don’t already, make sure to visit my IG and give it a follow.
One of my highlights this month has without a question been my trip to France. If you’re following me on Instagram you might have seen me grinning all the time in my stories because we seriously had such a fun time in Hossegor. I’ve tried surfing for the very first time ever and absolutely fell in love with the sport. Also, I’ve made some fun new acquaintances and got to be one of the first people to experience the new Jo&Joe Open House. If you ever want to travel there, do check out this cool hostel. It’s provided me with such great fun and let me get to know awesome people and cute surfer boys from all over the world ;)
So, what’s up in July?
I still have a couple of seminar papers to hand in, and my bachelor’s thesis to write. That means my month will be focused on work and university, regardless of it actually being summer. I guess that’s just what happens when you get older. While you could enjoy two months of summer break, you now have responsibilities and things to do. In about two weeks time I’m heading out on a cool road trip with my friend Vivi, though. Definitely looking forward to this. Additionally, there are a couple of cool events and fun activities on my agenda.

… means more than ever. In a time where blogging becomes increasingly neglected in favour of social media, I think high-quality content is key. So I want to focus on creating posts that you actually want to read. Sure, I still want to do what I want to do (e.g. books and travel) but I also want to take your feedback more seriously.
So I’d love to hear what you want me to write about. Any particular topics you’d like to see on here? Do you have specific post ideas? Let me know.
What have you been up to in July? Anything you want me to cover on the blog in the following weeks? Would greatly appreciate your feedback :)
