Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about bringing back the monthly love lists – you guys seemed to have loved them and I really enjoy summing up what happened at the end of each month to share on here. However, I feel like the format as it was wouldn’t really fit into the direction I want to take this blog to. So, I decided to switch them up for the monthly life update, which I’ll use to ramble about things that go through my head and happened in my life during the past 4 weeks.
BYE, BYE SNAPCHAT
It took me forever but I finally decided to ditch Snapchat for good. I’ve been forcing myself to use it ‘professionally’ (because duh, everyone does) for the past couple of months. It just never really clicked with us, though. What I posted on there felt forced and I had no fun whatsoever in doing it. So after deleting the app during my exam period, I realized how liberating it felt and decided to give it up for good. I’m having loads of fun at posting content on Insta-stories, though. So if you fancy a little behind-the-scenes sneak into my life, make sure to follow me there. Snapchat will be reserved for personal use for me from now on and I feel like that’s the right thing to do.
After a pretty chilled out weekend in Carinthia with my mom (review to come, just need to sort through millions of pictures), I have nothing else planned for the rest of the month other than going home for the semester break. Aaaaaand, I’m heading to Edinburgh for my birthday. I liked it so much when I went with Opel in September that I just couldn’t resist booking another trip. So if any of you have recommendations, please let me know in the comments below :)
ABOUT STRESS & FAILURE
January has been one hell of a month and after writing two papers and four exams, I realized that I might have put too much on my plate. I’m an extremely competitive person and usually quite good at University. This time, I did fail an exam, though. I know it was entirely my own fault as I just didn’t study enough. It was the last exam before my semester break and I already felt completely drained because of all the stress. The last two days before my exam I basically did nothing but sulk around in bed and complain about all the stress. Way to go, Kerstin.
