Seems like I have found my mojo back, eh! And while it’s going so well with me and the blog, I decided to bring back my favorite kind of posts – the life updates. I’ll probably re-vamp them and try to update you monthly but who knows if every month will be exciting? I don’t want to put too much pressure on this, so let’s see if we can make this work. Meanwhile, I’ll just give you a little insight into my life and what has been going on lately.
The story of Bob and Lil
Let’s start off with the most exciting change first. At the beginning of September, I got two new family members to join my daily life: Bobby and Lilly, two European shorthair kittens. And they’ve brightened up every day since I got them from their foster family.
Sadly, as I’m typing this, Bobby had passed away from an illness at only a few months. What could have been the beginning of a life-long companionship quickly turned into one of the worst experiences of my life. However, I still do not regret getting them as they have turned my life upside down and have purred their way into my heart in a few seconds. Me and Lilly are now a girlsclub only and I’m thinking about getting her a new playmate but not yet, as the pain over losing Bobby is still too strong .
Back to university – I’m finally doing my master’s degree
At the beginning of October, I finally went back to University to pursue my master’s degree. I had been playing with the idea of going back for months but knew I couldn’t do it while working full time. Now that I am self-employed I took the opportunity and signed up for some classes. And so far, I am absolutely loving it. It is challenging to be back again, yes. But at the same time, it feels so good to get out of the house and learn something new. I am doing lots of classes on inter-cultural studies, one class on speaking skills and one one language acquisition, as well as a few electives in sectors that interest me as well.
Also, major news…. I signed up for French classes this semester and am now learning the language from scratch. I must admit, it is a bit of a challenge for me to be starting this all over again. But it’s also super fun and rewarding. I’m glad I decided to do this and am looking forward to getting my A1 certificate at the end of the semester and possibly diving deeper into the language after.
My own coffee blend is finally up for sale
After weeks of keeping it silent and months of secret work, it is finally here – my very own coffee, created in collaboration with my friend Lisa and J. Hornig. You can read all about it in THIS POST. The first patch of orders has already gone out to customers. Luckily there are still a few packages available for purchase via sending an email with the subject “BE BREWTIFUL” to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the light of October being breast cancer awareness month we decided to donate all revenue from the coffee to the Austrian women- and breast cancer society.
Travel plans: Amsterdam and London on the agenda
After my trip to Rome in summer, I hadn’t really had any more travels on the agenda for the rest of the year. This drastically changed in September, though. A few weeks back I spontaneously booked a trip to Amsterdam to finally meet Sarah.
At the end of November, I’ll go on a mother-daughter trip to London. I haven’t been to London is such a long time and really missed it. So when the opportunity came for a short getaway with my mom I immediately knew I’d have to take her there. She’s never been to the UK and I’m super excited to show her round one of my favorite cities and spend some lovely quality time together.
My new tattoos
At the beginning of October I finally had a new tattoo oppointment and got number #7 #8 and #9. I will probably write a new post on that or update the old one once I have better pictures of them. In the meantime here’s a little sneak peek of what I got ;)
