Let’s get the info you’re all waiting to hear out of the way first. I’m sitting on my bed, already in my pj’s, sipping on a glass of vino, and eating soft pretzels while writing this post. I’ve had the most amazing day with my mom, brother, and his girlfriend, exploring Graz today. I really enjoyed taking the day off from my “busy adult life” and simply enjoying the bliss of spring for a day. I’ve had an utterly busy week, in which I barely managed to sit down and breathe for more than a few short moments and am now looking forward to a lazy Sunday with nothing planned at all! #BLESS This introduction perfectly plays into the biggest problem in my life right now – my work-life balance crisis. But more on that later, let’s get down and talk about my life, like the self-centered narcissist that I am.
So. I’ve now been living alone for an entire month. And I gotta admit I’m actually really liking it so far. Truth is, I haven’t been home much as I’m super busy at the moment. However, the time I did spend at home, I definitely enjoyed my solitude. I feel like I’m in a really good place right now – getting to know myself better and finding out what truly makes me happy. Yay for that. On another note, my flat still is an utter chaos and only today I ordered myself a washing machine. Adulting really IS hard!
On finding my personal work-life balance
Oh, where do I even begin? At the moment, I’m really struggling with fitting it all in. I’m a freaking organized person, however, I also am lazy and like to procrastinate things to the very last-minute. Not the best combination of traits to be honest. So with my university time slowly creeping to an end, my personal life changing, adult responsibilities knocking on my door, work going amazingly well, and friends whom I’d like to meet more than just once a month, it’s been SUPER busy around here lately.
I’m struggling really hard to find a good work-life balance. One of my biggest problems is that I absolutely cannot shut down. I always think about a million things and haven’t had a real lazy day in months! Will definitely keep you updated on my path to the perfect work-life balance. But for now, I’d really appreciate your feedback and tips on finding my way to a healthy relationship between my personal life and my career.
Current Netflix Favourites
GIRLBOSS // I binge watched the new show in one day and absolutely loved it. It was upbeat, motivating, fun, and I could relate so much to Sophia’s struggles. I know many people didn’t like her character that much. I found her to be super down to earth and real. If you fancy something fun and light-hearted to watch, do make sure to check Girlboss out.
RIVERDALE // Oh Riverdale. I went in this show, thinking I’d be your typical high-school drama to watch and feel like a responsible adult. But Riverdale is so much more. I’m really adoring this show. It’s tense, exciting and has Jughead. Who would have thought I’d ever develop a crush on a teenie again – haha.
13 REASONS WHY // The show everyone’s been talking about – of course, it had to make the cut. I watched it as soon as it came out and really liked it. Not so sure about Season two, though – do we really need that? By the way, I read the book when I was still a teeny tiny version of myself and didn’t like it at all; the show was so much better.,
MAD MEN // When I asked about Netflix recommendations on Instagram last week, I got so many amazing recommendations from you guys. What I actually started watching was Mad Men. So far it’s kinda weird? Very sexist, racist and kinda boring? But I’m giving it a chance and hope it gets better as so many of you seem to love it.
