I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award quite often lately. And even though I’m always grateful and happy about being considered, I somehow never manage to get around to actually answering the questions. So for today’s post I decided to select some of my favourite questions and turn them into a little Q&A. Hope you like the idea and enjoy reading these question as much as I did answering them :)
If you could invent anything right now, what would it be and why?
Duh, obviously: a money-tree. No seriously, a time travel machine because I’d love to experience different countries in the past. For example: America in the Roaring Twenties or London in the Victorian ages.
Imagine a publisher came up to you and said that your life would be printed as a book. What kind of book would it be and why?
That’s a tough one. I think some kind of biography mixed with graphic elements. Maybe a bit like “Hyperbole and a Half”. Why? Because my life isn’t fancy or exciting enough to be a real novel and I don’t have as much to say as to make it a normal biography. I would like it to be funny but also in some extend serious and true.
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
Sam Smith’s cover of “Hotline bling”(there you go)
Where’s your blog name from?
I mainly started this blog to share my travel experiences with others. That’s why I wanted to have a name that’s loosely related to travel but doesn’t restrict me in topics. My boyfriend came up with “Miss Getaway” and I really liked it. Explanation: getaway doesn’t only refer to traveling it’s also really fitting my personality of a dreamer and reader, always having little getaways from day-to-day life.
If everything would be possible and happening the instant you want it to happen, what would you choose to do?
Hmm….. I’d like to be able to take one year off and travel the world full-time. Not having to worry about real-life and money, while exploring all parts of this world it is.
If you could spend the day with anyone, dead or alive, famous or not famous, who would it be?
Oh that’s easy: Jennifer Lawrence!!!!
What’s your favourite quote?
“Believe in your dreams” & “Not all those who wander are lost”.
What is the one thing you wish you could tell your teenage self?
Don’t worry – everything is going to be okay! I’m not gonna lie to you… my teenage years were pretty tough and I struggled a lot with my self-esteem and life. Looking back I think 16 year old Kerstin would have never expected her 20s to be like they’re now. But everything turned out fine and I’m really happy right now.
What is your favourite travel destination you’ve been to so far?
Hands down, London!
