Sometimes all you need is a little change of scenery in order to clear your head and get back on track. The past few weeks have been tinted with frustration, lack of motivation and stress for me. While the year started off great in terms of my fitness schedule, it wasn’t so great in other areas of my life. I completely lost track of what counts and started to feel so disconnected from the blog. That’s when I knew that change wasn’t only inevitable in my life, but also on Miss Getaway.
Hence, you’re now reading this post on a completely new blog layout. I wanted to switch things up on here for weeks but never found the perfect layout to accompany the message and vibes behind Miss Getaway. Then, suddenly, in the middle of a very bad week when it comes to mental health, I stumbled across this gem of a theme and I just knew I had to change my look.
Speaking of looks. If you follow me on Instagram you might have already spotted my new hair style. What’cha think? Sometimes change can be the only thing to get you out of a slump and I gotta admit I’m feeling both, more comfortable in my own skin as well as more motivated to produce kick-ass content for the blog.
[one_half]WHAT I’M WEARING:
“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” – Rob Siltanen
But the layout isn’t the only thing that’s bringing change about on here. I also want to produce more meaningful content, share better pictures and, again, include a bit more of myself on here. I haven’t written a personal column in so long and loads of you guys messaged me to ask when they will be back. The Sunday Chat will make its appearance again – pinky promise. I just need to sort out my thoughts and problems before sharing everything on here.
Lately, I found myself so caught up in numbers that I completely lost track of what matters: fun, creativity and using Miss Getaway as an outlet for all things that go through my head. I personally think this new look perfectly illustrates the mood and vibes behind my blog and I’m super happy with how it turned out. I love its clean, simple and yet intricate look and cannot wait for you to uncover all the cool new features and widgets.
