*sponsored content* I’ve been thinking about including Beauty on the blog for weeks on end. Because in the end Miss Getaway is a lifestyle blog and one part of my life also consists of beauty things. So that is why today I decided to show you my beauty favourites for spring and summer! Hope you like this and we can discuss beauty in the comments below :)
Growing up my mom always told me how important skin care is and so I did try a great deal of beauty creams, treatments and other stuff during my 22 years of existence. However, I never really bothered to spend much money on beauty products because I thought the cheap ones work as well. That may be true for some but in general I did not do my skin a favour with that. But that I only realized when I started to suffer from Acne in my twenties.
Now I need to be really consistent with my skin care routine and careful with the kinds of beauty products I use. So I tend to go for high quality products instead of quantity. Nowadays I buy most of my beauty favourites at the chemist. That, however, can get really expensive after some time. Much cheaper and also easier is ordering these things at an online drugstore like shop-apotheke.at. Especially my beloved La Roche Posay products are much cheaper there than at the local chemist and they have a much broader selection of brands and products. Love it!
My Current Beauty Favourites
La Roche Posay: I tried and tested a great deal of products and brands before realizing that La Roche Posay was the perfect fit for my combination skin. Granted these products aren’t really cheap but they do help and I’d rather spend a little more money on my skin than on cheap products that only make it worse. My favourite for spring and summer are the “Effaclar DUO+“ and the “Effaclar Cleansing Gel“.
Coconut Oil*: Coconut oil literally is the best thing I ever encountered. I use it as a night cream on my face, moisturizer for my body and even put it into my hair as a hair mask. I realized that due to its antibiotic and anti-inflammatory effect it really helped me to get rid of my acne. Plus it’s organic, cheap, versatile and tastes/smells delicious.
Nashi Argan Oil: Aka the miracle weapon for my hair. I started using this oil a couple of years back and couldn’t be happier about what it does to my hair. Never before did I have hair as healthy as nowadays. I usually apply a little bit of the Nashi Argan Oil into my hair after washing it with some random shampoo. It really helps me with combing it, seems to make it grow faster and stronger. LOVE IT!
Balea Makeup Remover: I used to hate wearing makeup because the removing process was just such a pain. Ever since I found out about the (super cheap!) Balea Makeup Remover Oil I started to really look forward to it though. It’s so easy to use – just apply a little bit of oil onto your hands, rub it onto your face and wash it with water – DONE!
Carmex Lipbalm: I either use Carmex or Burt’s Bees on my lips. The second choice isn’t available in Austria yet though so I usually go for Carmex when my lips are in need of some moisture. This is definitely is super important in summer when the hot air outside and the dry air-condition air inside.
Casual Summer Make Up: When it’s hot outside I’m not the biggest fan of makeup. So I usually only use the necessities like a little bit of concealer (Catrice Camouflage Cream), highlighter and mascara. What I absolutely love is the MAC Strobe Cream*. It kind of is intended to be used as a face cream but I usually apply it just like a highlighter and it gives my face so much more complexion, depth and such a lovely glow.
What are your Beauty Favourites for Spring/Summer? Do you use any of the things I love?
