Staying at the new 25 Hours Hotel Terminus Nord in Paris
The first thing that I realized about the hotel was that the location is incomparable. It is super easy to reach by train, as well as plane, due to the fact that it is located right across Gare du Nord in Paris. From there you can either take the metro into town – the access to that is located directly in front of the hotel’s entrance or walk. Montmartre and Sacre Coeur are within walking distance for example and can be reached with just a 25-minute walk from the hotel.
We had a medium room for three nights and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. The bed was comfortable enough, the view over Gare du Nord super Parisian and everything was always super neat and clean. We did not have a balcony in our room but still wanted to create beautiful Parisian balcony shots. Luckily the room had big windows with a gorgeous while railing in the front so we could still enjoy the Parisian vibes while looking out our windows.
Things I particularly liked:
- There was a sign in the bathroom saying that it is safe to drink the tap water and fill up your bottles there as well. I’m always unsure whether I can drink from the tap in other countries so seeing this was perfect – it saved me a lot of money and also plastic because we just filled up our reusable bottles every day.
What I did not like as much:
- Even though we did not throw our towels on the floor, they still exchanged them every day. I personally find that very wasteful and do not feel the need to use a new towel every day so I’d have preferred for them not to.
- On our first night, there was a new family sleeping in the room next to us and I woke up every 2 hours during the night because their baby started crying really loudly then. I know this is not the hotel’s fault and we had a wonderful night’s sleep on the next two nights. However, I still wanted to give you a heads up that the walls might not be super thick and soundproof.
Eating at NENI Paris
One of the perks that come with staying at the 25 Hours Hotel Terminus Nord is having the NENI restaurant right at your feet. I knew the restaurant from Vienna and convinced my friend to stay in and eat there one night, even though Paris has a lot of great culinary attractions to offer. We indulged in hummus, falafel, and sweet potato fries and enjoyed the atmosphere around us. The NENI restaurant at the hotel has one of the coolest and most thought-through interiors I have ever seen. Every corner offers something new to marvel at and if the food itself doesn’t convince you (which, believe me, it will) the interior design and atmosphere certainly will.
The quality of the food wasn’t only impeccable at dinner, though. It also had us swooning when first entering the rich breakfast buffet. From scrambled eggs to fresh yogurt and traditional French pastries – this hotel does not disappoint. You can either drink hot coffee Americano right from the buffet or order a nice cappuccino with some of the waiters. It is safe to say that we were both over the moon when we first tried the French toasts – seriously one of the best I ever had.
* Disclaimer: We were invited to stay two nights at the 25 Hours Hotel Terminus Nord in Paris for review. The last night we paid for ourselves to prolong our stay in Paris. All opinion expressed in this post is, however, as always 100% my own.
